Two-Faced Corey Feldman Wears Michael Jackson Gear at Staples Center Memorial
72Estranged Friend Pays His Respects
Corey Feldman, an old and estranged friend of Michael Jackson, arrived at the Staples Center Memorial, outfitted like the King of Pop of the Dangerous Album era. Corey Feldman said that the ceremony had been beautiful and emotional. He hoped that Michael could be remembered for changing the world.
When Michael Jackson died, a remorseful Corey Feldman quaked with sadness and shock. He seemed completely guilt-ridden when he appeared on Larry King to talk about Michael Jackson's legacy. Larry King asked Corey Feldman if he'd worked out the animosity that had festered between him and Michael. Corey didn't think it was appropriate to talk about. He did elaborate that he'd recently began talking to the family, but not Michael yet.
Corey Feldman and Michael Jackson had been fast friends sometime around 1984. Their friendship fell apart in 2001. Apparently, the rift happened when Feldman failed to gain Michael Jackson's assistance "escaping New York" after 9/11. In 2003, Feldman, who had staunchly defended against Michael Jackson's molestation allegations of 1993, suddenly began hinting to Martin Bashir (sounds like Basher and I guess with good reason) that, in retrospect, his relationship with Michael Jackson had contained some inappropriate things.
Corey Feldman always insisted that Jackson never inappropriately touched him or made advances on him; however, he cited a time when he'd spotted a medical book on Michael's coffee table. The book had nude photos of people with STD's. When Feldman noticed it, Michael decided to show him the pictures and explain the pictures to Corey. Corey decided that, looking back, he wouldn't approve of any of his own children being in that situation.
After making those claims, Corey Feldman received a supeana to testify against Michael in the Jackson child molestation trial.
Corey's Child Molestation Saga Continues
In 2008, the two Coreys had their own reality show, during which Feldman and Haim play a sick game of one-up. Haim said he was raped and Feldman tried to trump him by saying he'd been molested. This started the media whirling about Michael again, even though Michael Jackson had been found innocent on all counts of child molestation. Feldman came out shortly after and said that the only thing Michael Jackson was guilty of was befriending teen-aged boys and then getting bored with them later.
Corey Feldman claimed it was mentally damaging for a teen-aged boy to hear Michael say he'd always be there for him, but then the phone number is changed the next day. Michael befriended Feldman in or about 1984 and maintained that friendship at least through 2001. That's about 16-17 years by my count. Hardly sounds like Michael forgot about him as a teenager.
Corey Feldman ought to be ashamed of himself for even showing up at Michael's memorial after all that drama he caused Michael in the last decade of Michael's life. Now he probably wishes he could apologize to Michael Jackson. Well, it's too late to apologize! Sorry, I'm getting a little emotional, here.
Pop Intervention Question of the Day:
How do you feel about Corey's two-faced behavior?

what a terrible man. his comment about "Michael Jackson was guilty of...befriending teen-aged boys and then getting bored with them later", basically gave more fuel to the stake where MJ was burned. people took this to mean some pedophile's insatiable need to go through a revolving door of children. awful parasite who needs to be ignored!
I BELIVE HE IS GUILTY NOT OF CHILD MOLESTATION BUT OF BEFRIENDING LITTLE BOYS AND GETTING BORE OF THEM AFTER.
I FOUND MANY BOYS SAY THIS ON INTERNET. IT WAS SAID BY THE MEDIA AS WELL, OPEN MINDED ONES. COUREY WOULD NOT LIE ABOUT THIS AT ALL. FOR ME IT IS TRUE. DO NOT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT IT EXPLAINS A LOT.
Wow. When I heard about bits about Corey and Michael, I was devastated. Michael calling Corey late at night when they first met (I would later read of Terry George and freak out about that, thinking it sounded too much like the start of MJ & Corey's friendship, which would begin five years later) and then this business about a "coffee table" book--it was upsetting. Corey saying Michael stopped associating with him at a certain point. It all pointed to just the worst kind of things. It NEVER occurred to me that what you have printed here could've been the true version of events. That Michael HAD NOT cut Corey out of his life when Corey "aged out" of Michael's interest-bracket and they were still in contact through 2001. That the book was something that Corey noticed and queried Michael about, not the other way around (Michael using the book to test his boundaries with Corey). Corey saying parts of the relationship he had with Michael he would find inappropriate for his own children. I understand he said he'd been molested (though he said it had nothing to do with Michael), but how careless and dysfunctional to publicly claim such a thing (on your blip of a reality show) when you have a connection to someone who has been dragged through the mud in this arena. Someone who is constantly being scrutinized, speculated about and targeted. Corey wasn't some newbie to the public eye and fame. He knew that kind of talk could (and would) reflect on Michael--even if he wasn't talking about Michael. All of this from a child star who imploded in a haze of obscurity and substance abuse. Child fame wasn't perfect for Michael, but he maintained and became unrivaled as a successful mature performer, removed from his child-fame bubble. He transitioned from child fame to adult recognition and kept making a real impact even after he was skewered by terrible allegations, accusations and poor public relations moves. Corey has NEVER recovered from his child fame limits.
Michael was a GROWNA**MAN in the 80s. He could own/reference a book like that--especially if he's moving beyond the limits of his family and religious life, dating and considering having sexual relationships and has been a sheltered late-bloomer looking for information. It doesn't mean he's doing something wrong. Deepak Chopra said Michael was never inappropriate with his son Gotham and didn't Gotham say Michael called him up seeking advice about, uh, honeymoon customs & activities? I think I've been way off about Michael. So scared, thinking all these rumors, stories and claims were the terrible, inevitable truth. Eyes closed. Ears closed. Brain washed. I'm so sorry Michael!
Funny how so many people take to writing diss tracks about Michael at some point (Jermaine, Lisa Marie, Corey)... I guess that speaks to his impact as well. When he touches a life and then isn't as available to that person as he once was, they start trippin'! Thank God his music is better than theirs and always will be.
Yes, it was two-faced for Corey to show up like that at Michael's Memorial. If people weren't out there saying craziness/vague, easily misinterpreted messages about Michael, he might never have been undone by all this insanity.
This posting has given me a completely different perspective on Corey and Michael. Thank you for posting it. If this is how it really was, I was SO wrong and I deserve to be lashed for the paranoia I experienced regarding Michael.
Grow up Feldman. Jackson tried to by your ally but had to pluck you off like the leech you are.
You blew it when you collaborated with Beelzebub to bring Jackson down. While you're out there putting your mug in front of the camera at Jackson events, you might consider apologizing for causing suspicion about Jackson where there was none. Seems all you can do is "forgive" him for making you stand on your own two feet. You should thank him, not "forgive" him.
There is nothing two faced about this. He forgave someone who is dead. He knows how to NOT hold a grudge. And his comments on Michael throwing child stars away wasn't about him but people he saw it happening to. They ha da falling out in 2001 due to totally different reasons.
And the only reason why he ever brought up the 'coffee table incident' is because if there was any slim chance of Michael actually being a pedophile, this owuld be important info. Corey has been quoted saying that he hoped that Michael was innocent on all accounts.
So, stop hating that someone can grieve over an old friend and mentor (even after things didn't always work out between them).
Everyone should leave Michael Jackson alone. He was found innocent of child molestation in a court of law. That means he did not do it.
Also, O.J Simpson did not kill anyone. This was proven in court.
Casey Anthony is also innocent. The court didn't find her guilty. That means she didn't do it.
For the posters on here who are not intellectually sound enough to realize it -that was sarcasm. I'm sorry I couldn't write it in crayon for you.
Bunch of 'holier than thou' people act like none of you has ever done anything "two faced" to someone. Many of you must just be saints.
F*** Michael Jackson, and anyone else doing inappropriate things with our children. Pedophiles do not deserve to breathe the same air I do.

What a publicity whore. He has never missed an opportunity to ride on the coat tails of others' success once his star faded. He started doing interviews with several media sources before Michael's body was cold. This topped it all. Boo hoo for him. If he had a conscience he would have made a quiet entry considering the needless mental suffering he caused Michael for a few more seconds of fame (by contacting Basir). But, he succeeded, and here is Corey's talentless picture, plastered all over the internet, here, on digg, facebook, myspace, and many other places. Many of them direct you to his website. Hmmmmmmmm? Poooor poor misunderstood Corey. Doncha just feel sorry for the creep? NOT! Great article popintervention. DITTOS!
