Mourning the Loss of a Friend: Michael Jackson Dead at 50
Thursday, 2:29pm PST, we all cried at the same time. The world bore witness to the blazing passing of our shooting star, Michael Jackson. He burned fervently, and shined brilliantly, leaving a remarkable trail of fantastic light in his wake. No person on this planet of comprehensible age does not know his name, though sadly, many do not know his contributions, humanitarianism, and mission to heal the world one child at a time. As we celebrate the life of this passing star, we honor his art, his music, and immense heart for philanthropy.
I have been in denial since Thursday, forcing away tears but unable to grieve. It's been hard for me to cry or be sad, because just the mere utterance of a Michael Jackson song strikes a smile on my face. He's alive again in that song, and I forget what happened. When the song ends, I return to reality, to knowing that these songs are his last words to us. Michael won't speak anymore. He won't sing, and he won't dance. We can only see him now in retrospect.
While drowning my pain in doses of Jackson music videos, I found Cry from Invincible, 2001, and realized that the video symbolized Michael's power to unite and heal the world through his music. If you watch the music video below, you'll see that his music and message unites the people on screen, just as they do millions of fans today.
Only Michael's voice appears in the video. Meanwhile, people like us line up around the world, side by side, from shore to shore, holding hands. Our vastness increases, and as his message sings, "You can change the world; I can't do it by myself," we begin to look to each other and sing along. Soon, the message envelopes the queue of bystanders, and like a choir we chime in, swaying to the tune.
Michael Jackson spent his career unifying fans in just this way, with this same message. Whether it was Beat It, Bad, or earth Song, he urged us to think for ourselves, celebrate our differences, and care for our earth and fellow inhabitants. Michael Jackson led by example, tirelessly supporting several charities. Just to name a few:
Michael is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records for Most Charities Supported by a Pop star in 2000, after participating in one form or another to 39 various charities. He is most celebrated for his collaboration with a total of 45 artists to create We Are the World, in an effort to fund raise for USA for Africa. The single and album raised over 63 million dollars.

The man is gone but his talent remains with us forever.
His talent will live in legend. He was truly amazing. Maybe now he can be left alone and rest in peace.
late last night,
i saw him in my dreams.
he came and he said.
im not gone its just how it seem's.
i was in my bed,i freezed,
there i was and could bearly breath.
he came and sat beside me,
he smiled and i told him i loved him,
he said he loved me more,my eyes filled with tears,i could bearly see.
i said please come back we all need you,
he said i love you all,
but it was my time, it was my call.
he went away and told me to tell everyone,
that he loved us and his not realy gone.
and that we are when we feel, not alone.
so dont kill your self for me because your not alone.
that was my dream last night,
but it felt so real.
i think michael would want us to move on and think of how we can change the world and help pepole.
so im asking you if you can do anything then do it,
that's what im asking my self too.
